The first bell goes at 8:40am to signal that school is open. Pupils enter via their cloakrooms and into class for registration.
Teaching periods can vary depending on age and also what the children are learning but as a rough guide the day is as follows:
|08:55 - 09:55||Teaching Period 1|
|09:55 - 10:30||Teaching Period 2|
|10:30 - 10:45||Morning Break|
|10:45 - 11:15||Assembly|
|11:15 - 12:15||Teaching Period 3|
|12:15 - 13:15||Lunch Break|
|13:20 - 14:10||Teaching Period 4|
|14:10 - 15:10||Teaching Period 5|
|15:10||End of School|
We ask that children should not arrive on the school premises before 8:40am (or 01:10pm if they go home to lunch). We cannot guarantee adequate supervision before these times. School doors are opened at 8:40am and closed at 8:45am when the registers are taken.
Pupils arriving after 8:45am but before 9:00am are recorded as late (authorised absence). Pupils arriving after 9:00am are recorded as late (unauthorised absence). Pupils arriving after the doors have closed should report to the school office.
Children are not allowed to leave school during the day unless they are collected by a parent or nominated adult. We encourage parents, when planning visits to the doctor or dentist, to try and book outside of the school day or term time. If you do need to take your child out during the day, please let us know in advance.
