About the PTFA

The Parent, Teachers and Friends Association

What is the PTFA?

The Parent, Teachers and Friends Association is a group of parents, most of whom have children in the school, and teachers or other members of staff from the school.

What do we do?

Our main role is to fund raise for the school. The regular events organised each year include, a Summer Fete, a Quiz Night and many other smaller events. For a list of upcoming events please take a look at the main PTFA page.

Who is on the committee?

The committee consists of a Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary and Advertising. As well as these, there are a number of other committee members whose support and effort is invaluable.

What does the fund raising money go towards?

The funds raised are used to pay for lots of different things - all focused around increasing the school’s resources. In the past we have donated money to the school to purchase laptops for each class, new school benches, planters around the classrooms and various classroom items that the staff have requested. Our plans for each year are put together in consultation with the school.

What do I do if I want to get involved?

We are always keen to welcome new faces and would love you to get involved, even if you can only spare a few hours to help with a specific event rather than make an ongoing commitment.

Please come and talk to us in the playground if you are interested in joining us or you would like to lend a hand,
